Rest Isn't Laziness

Rest isn’t a reward. It’s not something you earn after proving your worth. It’s not a luxury reserved for people who’ve “done enough.”

Rest is part of the work. It’s how you stay clear, grounded, and capable. It’s how you lead without burning out.

We live in a culture that glorifies exhaustion. Burnout is treated like a badge of honor. Women are praised for pushing through, even when it costs them everything.

But you’re not here to be productive at all costs. You’re here to live, lead, and last.

Rest is strategic. It’s what you reach for when the decisions are heavy, and the emotions are loud. It’s what you choose when you’re rebuilding something that matters. It’s what keeps you from losing yourself in the work.

And it doesn’t have to look like a spa day. It might be saying no to one more thing. It might be turning off your phone without guilt. It might be sitting still, letting yourself be quiet—on purpose.

This isn’t laziness. This is leadership.

Rest isn’t what you do when you’re done being powerful. It’s what you do to stay powerful.

So, if you’re tired, pause. Not later. Not when it’s convenient. Now.
